Barcelona-born singer-songwriter Henrio is coming back with another single set to be out on the 16th of April, together with a homemade music video. ‘Who Am I?’ is a song about mental health connected to the ideas of identity and authenticity, reflecting on the effects of social pressure, and finding reassurance in music.

‘Who Am I?’ is Henrio’s third single being released independently, and it’s a song about the lack of self-confidence, about those times where it becomes difficult to see the light and you’re trying to get through some rough times. It’s been produced by Spanish producer Kim Fanlo, mixed by Liverpool based producer Alec Brits (The Cabin) and mastered by Tony Draper.

Speaking about his new single, he says “‘Who Am I?’ is one of those songs that sort of fell from heaven, as if it was already written inside of me and just came out screaming. I wrote it a few years ago, when I was in a bad place and right after that, I decided to move to the UK, I needed a new adventure, and Liverpool became the light to that dark place I was in.”

Who they think I am weighs more than I expected to..."

HENRIO

An artist with a touching voice that warms you up, Henrio is an independent singer/songwriter, praised for his sensitivity and his folk-driven songs that have travelled from the city of Barcelona to the streets of Liverpool.

After stepping out of a label, he moved to the UK in 2017 to develop his craft and find himself a new home. With his Mediterranean influences and his acoustic guitar as a starting point, he has been creating and curating songs inspired by the Liverpool music scene and will release his first single Moonglow (I could love you) on the 19th of April.

The sort of magic that defines the music of Damien Rice, Sufjan Stevens, Jamie Cullum, Jeff Buckley or Ry X is visible in his artistry.

His audience has seen him grow across different local venues through his introspective but powerful live skills. After three years of collaborating with a few artists such as Astles, Abby Meysenburg, Spilk Milk Society frontman Harry Handford, Venus Demilo, Micayl and Cooza, he is sharing again a brand new single introducing the raw and powerful energy Henrio owns.

Together

Henrio's previous single, 'Together', written and recorded during lockdown, was an inner look at growing through embracement and togetherness.

Taking inspiration from the spanish guitar fingerpicking, Henrio elaborated a beautiful gentle-voiced folk song, in the vein of Sufjan Stevens and Elliott Smith. With his arms wide open, he invited us to dive into this mysteriously bright song and to help one another when life becomes unexpectedly challenging.
